Sunday Date

Yesterday I had plans to meet up with Grace, from Will She Love Paris?, and Edna, from Expat Edna. Our original plan was to overindulge in delicious pastries at Jacques Genin but as you probably can tell from the photos above we didn't exactly end up there. Due to an ongoing photo shoot we had to relocate our little Sunday date and instead we ended up at a cute little café near St Paul called La Favorite.

Don't worry! We managed with pizza, French toast and some yummy pancakes. Even Diane, from the blog Diane, a broad, heard about our little brunch date and decided to spontaneously join our group!

Since we only were a few steps away from newly discovered L'Éclair de Génie we decided that it almost would be wrong not to stop for a little dessert. Caramel beurre salé, chocolat au lait mangue banane, praliné and chocolat avec coco were the flavours that caught our eyes.

A walk along the Seine couldn't be avoided when the sun finally decided to pop out for a minute. Suddenly you could remember that spring actually existed and that it wouldn't be rain and -4°C all year long.

To my delight Diane took us to La Caféothèque for a little coffee break, which I somehow have missed even though it's just a minute or so away from my old Parisian apartment. Great place to visit if you're looking for a cup of delicious coffee and cosy atmosphere!

After that we parted ways and I started to make my way back home. When you have these gorgeous views on your way home you don't really want to go down underground and take the métro...

And I'm glad I didn't because then I would have missed this beautiful Parisian sky. Sometimes you have to pinch yourself a little bit, or just stop for a while and look out over all of this to actually realise where you are.
