The 5th arrondissement in Paris is a neighbourhood that I would love to call home if I didn't live where I live at the moment. It's where you'll find Panthéon, the Sorbonne, the popular little street Rue Mouffetard, Institut du Monde Arabe and my personal favourites Jardin des Plantes and Place Maubert for example. I find this neighbourhood to be extremely charming and perfect for strolling around in on a sunny day. I adore the little walk from Panthéon along Rue Soufflot down to Jardin du Luxembourg, the view is just gorgeous! While it's (at least for me) lacking a bit in really great places to eat the 5th makes up for this with its "neighbourly feel" and relaxed atmosphere. There's no better way to start your Saturday morning than with a visit to Marché Maubert.

You can find my previous post about the 7th arrondissement here.
