Most of the time it's the little things that bring me the greatest pleasure. Meeting up with friends to chit chat for hours over tea and the most heavenly French toast I've ever tasted, has to be one of them. Ever since this lovely lady made me try them (ok, I didn't really need convincing, but still) for the very first time I keep coming back over and over again. A little bit too often perhaps. But finding a cosy corner in the Ladurée salon during early morning hours and talking about anything and everything until you realise it's time for lunch is just the best. ...Even though that sometimes means I have to stay up all night to catch up on work I missed out on earlier. But what don't you do for a piece of good super delicious French toast?
I think moments like these are some of the most important ones to me. Not necessarily because of the French toast — believe it or not — but because of the lovely people I get to spend my time with. I truly wish that I could start every day laughing so hard I eventually end up crying, talking about silly things, sharing important advice and celebrating each other's achievements. But boy, do I consider myself lucky being able to do so every now and then.
