Somehow I ended up on Champs-Élysées after running a few errands before leaving Paris to spend the holidays in Stockholm, and apparently I came just in time for the annual Christmas market. This is a market I would never ever make the effort to visit intentionally - for many different reasons, but mostly because it's too touristy and the stands are more than often owned by grumpy people who absolutely hate their jobs, which doesn't really get me in that cheerful holiday mood if you know what I mean? But once there I thought I might as well snap a few photos. Say what you will about the miserable service but a few of those stands can look pretty cute and "Christmassy" after all.
After being away in the Swedish countryside over the weekend I'll celebrate Christmas here in Stockholm together with my family tomorrow. Yes, over here we do most of the celebrations on the 24th, which might seem odd to many of you but maybe it's a Swedish thing? Anyways, we've prepared tons of food, stocked up on favourite movies and looked up recipes for the perfect caramels, so it seems like we're all good to go! The only thing missing now is the snow... I hope you'll have a wonderful Christmas and get to celebrate with your loved ones. Happy Holidays!
