Shooting anything in this New York-weather is close to impossible. With around three snowstorms during out stay so far (and yes, we're expecting more) and degrees below the 0 mark it's hard to stay outside for more than ten minutes without catching a cold or loosing feeling in your fingers and toes. Naturally, we've managed to pick the days with rain, snowstorms or extreme cold to shoot on so far but thankfully we've managed to keep spirits high by making each other laugh and warming ourself up afterwards at cosy restaurants.
When locations scouting for my upcoming shoots together with Nicole in New York I came across this amazing, and very colourful, mural right in the middle of the city and immediately knew that we had to shoot something here. It's actually thanks to Instagram that I always manage to find so many places I would love to shoot at. I learned that this mural was painted (and wasn't completely finished when we got there) by the very talented Maya Hayuk. Isn't it so much fun? Such a colourful and fun way to brighten up a grey wall in the middle of the city.
