It's been raining here in Paris during the last couple of days (but it feels more like months at the moment) which is making me kind of depressed and low on energy for absolutely everything right now. A cold and a sore throat is certainly not helping the situation either. Hopefully this sad and grey weather (as well as my cold) will pass sooner rather than later.
But now, on to happier memories. Remember that day I rode around Paris on the back of Braden's vespa? Anyhow, one of the places he decided to take me to was the beautiful little neighbourhood called La Butte-aux-Cailles in the 13th arrondissement. My last visit here was two years ago but since it was during a very late night (which ended with one too many glasses of wine) I never really got to see it properly. In the middle of Paris and just off the modern Place d'Italie you'll find this little gem. Cobblestone streets, dark green ivy, beautiful doors and some lovely wisteria made this little area undeniably charming.
