This morning I walked through a calm and quiet Jardin des Tuileries to join the backstage madness and to attend the Issey Miyake show. Squeezing in among gorgeous models when you haven't slept in four days and barely had any time to put on proper make-up that morning is... Less than ideal for your confidence, but my excitement about shooting the backstage area for Wella Professionals made me forget about my sloppy applied mascara and dark circles beneath my eyes. The backstage are is exactly as crazy, crowded and hectic as you probably would imagine it to be – there's people everywhere and everyone is trying to do their job as quickly and perfect as possible.
I've always wanted to shoot more models so this morning was like a dream for me – especially since I fell head over heels in love with the beautiful hair and make-up for the show. Eugene Souleiman, Wella Professionals' creative director for care and styling, created a hairstyle that incorporated both soft and hard elements and something that would remind you of lightness and clouds. Sure, I would probably not be able to do this at home (I mean, I can barely braid my own hair) but a girl can always dream, right? At least I've finally found a hairstyle in which my baby hairs would actually come to good use for once! Paired together with the pastel coloured eye lashes in soft blues and greens I really had a hard time putting the camera down. Thank you Wella for having me!
