My days have definitely gotten a bit more hectic if I compare them to what was happening a year or two ago. Before I could spend a couple of hours each week walking around the city to explore, enjoy and take photos (I know, what a luxury, right?). Now, I'm happy if I can make time for that once every other month or so. I'm not complaining, it's a thrill to have more work lined up and new exciting projects to take on but it also means that my creative outlet, which has been this website, has to take a bit of a backseat at times. I wish I could shoot for myself and post new photos from my life in this city every single day but unfortunately that's just not realistic when trying to juggle five different roles within my job at the same time.
But it also means that when I do get a few minutes alone with my camera, taking photos for just myself and no one else, I really appreciate it. Sometimes it even feels a bit odd taking photos just for the sake of taking photos and not thinking about a list of requirements or what a specific client is looking for (which is something I truly enjoy doing in its own way as well, of course). During hectic or stressful times I think moments like these are crucial for me to feel good and not stress out too much. They also always remind me of that I can never start taking this city's beauty for granted. It's just so darn pretty!
