Treasured Forever

“Systrar” (sisters in Swedish). For the first time, since I was 20 years old and moved away from home, my sister and I are now spending more than two weeks, both in the same place at the same time. Life has pulled us in different directions during the last couple of years; whether it’s been her adventures travelling through New Zealand in a camper van and learning how to surf in Bali or me strolling the streets of Italy & Paris and working in an industry I never even dared to dream about as a little girl, we have never been together for more than merely a couple of days—and if lucky—weeks. Growing up we used to fight about who wore what jumper to school and who stole which dress out of the other one’s closet, but as we’ve grown older, and especially this last year or so, we have become closer than ever before. And maybe somewhere, somehow, we were supposed to get this time together. Just the two of us, in the same place, for more than just a few weeks, before life will most likely pull us (physically) further apart once again. I am so happy that I get to call such a beautiful soul—and often times the very polar opposite of myself—my sister.
