As I'm writing this I've just gotten back home to Paris after spending the last couple of days in beautiful Venice. It feels like I've been looking forward to this trip the entire summer and in the blink of an eye, it's over and I'm back home again. It almost feels a little bit like a dream... Something else, that also feels quite unreal, is that it's already been a year since the last time I was here together with Jaeger-LeCoultre. Can you believe it? It feels like it was last weekJaeger-LeCoultre has been a client that I've been working together with for a few years now and each and every time I get the opportunity to create something together with them and their lovely team, I'm thrilled.

This time we got to attend the movie premiere of the movie "The Favourite" starring Emma Stone, Rachel Weisz and Olivia Colman among others. It was such an intense and different movie... Don't take this the wrong way, I really, really liked it. The scenes in the movie were filmed so beautifully and the cinematography was gorgeous. Some moments from the film looked like beautiful photographs and you could tell that the aesthetic of the movie was just as important to the director as the story. Let's just say that I would be incredibly surprised if Oscar rumours didn't start going around very soon... Anyway, more about the red carpet situation during this movie premiere is coming up in just a bit!

This year's gala dinner for Jaeger-LeCoultre, their clients and ambassadors was hosted in an old Venetian palazzo in the middle of this beautiful city. I don't think it's possible to describe this venue with words that do it justice – nor is it possible to describe the moment when the hilarious and talented Benedict Cumberbatch held a speech during the evening while the lighting from the thunder storm outside lit up the ballroom of this Venetian palace. Another Venice Film Festival is officially over for me but I'm crossing my fingers for getting to come back next year again since it's such a special time. Thank you to Jaeger-LeCoultre for having me yet another year.
