Haute (Hot) Couture Week

Total look: Acne

When I saw that the weather forecast had predicted between 25-35 degrees all week during this season's Haute Couture Week I knew it would be an extra intense couple of days, haha. This week was all about finding looks that meant the least amount of fabric – while still looking presentable. Before my Haute Couture adventures begun, this was what I wore to attend the Acne Spring/Summer 2019 show in Paris.

A Couture favourite, as always, was Dior. I know that you guys know that I'm totally obsessed with Musée Rodin at this point (I mean, who can blame me?) and for another season, this was the location for Maria Grazia Chiuri's show. I attended my very first Dior Haute Couture show in July 2014. That's 4 years ago... I still can't believe it... Or understand how I ended up her. Thank you Dior for having me yet another season, your shows make me dream.

For the launch of Penelope Cruz's fine jewellery collection for Atelier Swarovski I wore this velvet dress. Why did I wear two velvet looks in one day when it's 33 degrees outside you ask? I have no freaking clue is my answer to that. Later that evening I also got to enjoy a viewing of Cartier's new high jewellery collection as well as a dinner together with the sweetest Cartier team.

What do you wear for a dinner with Vogue Paris, surrounded by movie stars, models and designers? Yeah, exactly. Thankfully I found this beautiful Poiret creation along with these beautiful Swarovski diamonds. Before the dinner we watched Alexandre Vauthier's glamorous looks walk down the runway just a stone's throw away from the Louvre"What is my life?" was the only thing going through my head...

One of my last shows for the week was the beautiful Viktor & Rolf Couture show. They recreated iconic looks from their previous collections during the past 25 years. To say that I had chills by the end of the show is definitely an understatement. ...And so is saying that I was hot in my jeans this day.
